Brought to you by your Cultura hosts - the Livingston Diversity Council & the Livingston Arts Council, Cultura Connects is a new series celebrating the rich traditions, flavors, and stories behind the cultures featured at Cultura. Each of these intentionally curated, culturally immersive experiences will invite you to engage all of your senses through food, movement and art.
These incredible opportunities will be offered three times per year, each program centering on a different culture, allowing participants to connect, learn and appreciate our global community.
Our first stop in 2026 landed us in India where participants celebrated the vibrant culture of India! All enjoyed flavorful Indian cuisine, learned energetic Bollywood-style dance moves, and created their own Diya bowls - a traditional lamp used during holidays like Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
Our fantastic & authentic tasting menu was provided by AGs Authentic Indian Cuisine in Brighton and included traditional selections from the lighter spice palette: butter chicken, paneer tikka masala (vegetarian), basmati rice, garlic naan, and a selection of chutneys.
